Inspired by my "Spotty Performance" pic [link]

Fellow Kubies may recognize this as the "ghosting" assignment. Essentially we were supposed to draw three pages of continuity in the style of an existing artist. You may or may not see the influence of the late Mike Wieringo [link] in these pages. I tried to emulate Mike because I think he's got a great, whimsical style without a lot of pointless frills and gimmicks. It's just good art that's a joy to look at, and the art world is that much weaker for having lost him. Rest in peace, Mike.




For this pirst page, I don't think I managed to capture his style at all. The last panel looks more like a Joe Kubert panel than a Wieringo one, since Joe practically redrew the damn thing for me, since I'd been struggling so much with it.
