By the end of the series I would have to give the win to Red, but throughout most of it I think GurrenLagann and Megas would be pretty evenly matched. GL has a bit more of the "beyond the impossible" aspect, but it's also entirely possible that Megas has a "Win Fight Against Gurren Lagann" button. All in all, though, I think these two are really the only mechs who could give a real fight against eachother.
Anyway, I pretty much drew this because I was watching Gurren Lagann and realized that I'd never really drawn mecha before. I've never been a big mecha fan, but I felt a mighty need to draw the GurrenLagann. And what better way than to have him fight what I still consider my all-time favorite giant mech ever? To me, this is the Godzilla vs. Gamera of giant mech fights.
In all honesty, I've never particularly cared for Gundam. That aside, I don't think there's any Gundam that's as insanely overpowered as these two, so even if there are awesome ones I don't know about, they couldn't put up much of a fight.
